The D.O.V.E Project's residential home, called 'The Bungalow' is a home for two adults with complex needs and sensory impairments. The maximum capacity of the home is two residents. This promotes a therapeutic environment that is also socially valued. As a residential home it is a good example of the breadth and depth of support and services that The D.O.V.E Project provides.



what is provided

Flexible support that fits around individual needs and desires, including help to make a Person Centred Plan, which supports and reflects a person's needs and desires for the future.

Specialist intensive support, from a dedicated staffing that is 24 hours 7 days a week.

Support with household tasks so as to promote nutritional, healthy, well balanced diets.

Sensory sessions.

A car is provided for the staff to assist residents to access their local community and wider regions.

monitoring and measuring progress
Each person's progress will be recorded and subsequently measured in terms of what that person wants to achieve. The way this will be done will be unique to the activity chosen. The work of the support worker and each person's progress will in turn be monitored by a supervisor to ensure the progress towards the goal is being maintained. This process will be essential to allow each person to progress future goals.

Care plans are followed to ensure that each person leads a fulfilled and rewarding life, ensuring their safety. Outside professionals and agencies are involved when necessary, helping each person to maintain their own individual lifestyle and to constantly support their changing needs.
