what is Selborne Mews?

Selborne Mews is registered as a Care Home which has recently been renovated to an innovative design and specification. Selborne Mews provides high quality care, treatment and structured rehabilitation for young adults who have a learning disability.

Selborne Mews provides accommodation for 20 people in three separate units, all providing individual packages of care for people with learning disabilities who may have associated mental health needs and may exhibit degrees of challenging behaviour.

Selborne Mews will promote the principles of “an ordinary life”. We encourage community presence and participation, increased independence and empowerment and also create opportunities to develop relationships and friendships, ensuring individual needs are met in a safe and empathetic environment.

The unique configuration of the units allow a change in the level of care as the Service User gains greater independence without changing the environment in which they live. It is our aim to provide true community living.
