supporting information
Enabling support has long been the missing link in people's lives. Many people live with their family or rely on support staff at a residential home. Very often these people understandably struggle to support their needs. We can provide the support someone needs to be able e.g. to attend a football match. How can an individual gain the skills necessary to
transition into what is considered adult life and the services provided for that age group? At The D.O.V.E Project we believe we can play a critical role to facilitate such social and life skills and much more.

enabling support means
Flexible support packages that fit around an individually assessed need or desire.
A Person Centred Approach which supports and reflects each person's current needs.
Support can be provided in the daytime, evening or weekend.
A service that can help people in a variety of ways, but typically promotes: Life skills, Social skills, Leisure opportunities, Work opportunities, Decision making and Inclusion.
Assisting people to access the local and wider communities.
People can experience a 'taster' of what is available.
how else can we help
Planning and supporting: Once a goal has been established the plan to achieve this will be developed with the close assistance of the person in question. Considerable effort will be made to ensure that the plan fully integrates the needs and wishes of the individual and that it is achievable. Monitoring and measuring progress: Each person's
progress will be accurately recorded and subsequently measured in terms of what that person wants to achieve in a way that is evidenced based. The way this will be done will be unique to the activity chosen. The work of the support worker and each person's progress will in turn be monitored by a supervisor to ensure the progress towards the goal is being maintained. This process will be essential to allow each person to progress its future goals.
